Ms. Lori Green started her first year at CGCSC in 2024 by becoming the new principal for Center Grove Elementary School! Ms. Green completed her 29th year as an educator. She started her career as a middle and high school English teacher for Caston School Corporation in Rochester, Indiana. She has also taught in Tippecanoe Valley Schools in Akron, IN, Plymouth Community Schools in Plymouth, Indiana, and Indianapolis Public Schools where she was also an instructional coach. Ms. Green became an administrator 15 years ago as a middle school principal.
She has also served as a junior high principal, high school assistant principal and athletic director. Most recently, Ms. Green was the principal of Dunloe Elementary School in Groveport, Ohio.
Ms. Green is married to Craig Nelson, and together they have a blended family. Their children include Trey (34), Melissa (33) and her husband Chris (34), along with their son Theodore (3), Ian (32), and Aaron (30). She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, listening to live music, and reading.
She finds great joy in working alongside others—both children and adults—to help them discover who they are and who they aspire to be. She considers it an honor to walk with others on their life’s journey. One of her favorite quotes is, “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”
